Reiki Five Principals Class

Traditionally, the 5 Reiki Principals are taught as part of a student’s “Reiki Level One” training course. The 5 principals may seem simple, but I believe they are as important to a student’s training, if not more so, than most of what is taught in a level one class. This is why I spend a considerable amount of time discussing my understanding of the 5 principals with my students before I provide them with a Reiki level one certificate of completion.

This class is an expansion of what I teach in my Reiki Level One class, and is available to anyone, whether you are a student of Reiki, or are simply interested in how to approach, and master, the 5 principals of Reiki.

5 Reiki Principals

I have used Reiki since 2001. I took my master class in 2004, and I became a master of Reiki around 2007. To be a master of Reiki means that you have masteredthe 5 Reiki principals. You can learn how to heal with your hands, but the strength of your ability to heal increases exponentially when you can control, and quiet, your mind, which is the result of mastering the 5 Reiki principals.

If you look up “5 Reiki Principals” on Google you will find thousands of websites sites giving a brief, but sometimes detailed, description of something that looks like the image above. Most sites have headings like “promote a healthy loving life,” “approach each day with a positive attitude,” or “view each obstacle in your life as an opportunity.”  These phrases often make the 5 Reiki principals seem like an affirmation that’s no different than, “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me” by approaching them in a Chicken Soup For The Soulkind of way.

A Different Approach

Having a background in counseling, yoga, and other forms of therapy, my approach to the 5 Principals is different than how I was taught it. It is focused on creating a balance between the mind and body, which has helped my Reiki students, and counseling clients, overcome fear, worry, anger, low self-esteem, depression, and a host of other mental, and biological issues.

Class Is For Everyone

I am teaching this extended class for Reiki students who may be having difficulty mastering the 5 Reiki principals, and for anyone who is interested in learning more about the principals, and how they can help balance the mind and body.

I plan on teaching the class once every three months.

Next Class Date:

November 3rd, 2019 – 4 pm – 6 pm

February 9th, 2020 – 2 pm – 4 pm
